Practical DevSecOps Certification Process

Practical DevSecOps’ Exam and Certification process and steps involved in it.


Step 1: A student schedules their exam on a preferred date and time(please refer to the course portal for the link). Please choose precise timezone information.

Step 2: You will receive an email with more details. Please expect a couple of reminders leading up to the exam.

Step 3: We will send you details about the exam and challenges on the scheduled exam start time. Our instructors will be there to assist you if you face any difficulty while connecting to the exam lab.

Step 4: The student will connect to the exam lab using the above details and attempts the exam.

Step 5: After the exam, the student will have 24 hours to submit us the exam report along with solutions.

Step 6: Practical DevSecOps team will evaluate the report and share the result(pass/fail) with the student.

Step 7: Students who passed the exam will receive their certificate by email within 72 hours.


Restrictions: You are not allowed to use Chat Bots like (ChatGPT, Bard, etc.)

Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP)

CDP exam is an online, task-oriented exam where you attempt to solve 5 challenges (tasks) in a span of 6 hours. The exam is based on the content covered in the course but might require further research to pass the exam. Once the exam is done, you have 24 hours to submit the exam report on ​our portal.

Exam tasks

The exam has five challenges. Each of these challenges has tasks. These tasks will be similar to the scenarios and challenges shared in the lab/course, e.g.,

  • Implement SAST/DAST for a particular project
  • Implement Automated Hardening and Compliance checks in CI/CD pipeline.

Exam pass percentage

Students must score at least 80 points (80%) to earn the DevSecOps certification.

Certified AI Security Professional (CAISP)

The CAISP exam is an online, task-oriented exam where you attempt to solve five challenges (tasks) in 6 hours. The exam is based on the content covered in the course, but might require further research to pass the exam. After the exam, you have 24 hours to send us the exam report. Once the exam is done, you have 24 hours to submit the exam report on our portal.

Exam tasks

The exam has five challenges for the exam, each of these challenges provides you points based on how complete or partial your solution was. These tasks will be similar to the scenarios and challenges shared in the lab/course, e.g.,

  • Attack Chatbots to exploit common AI weaknesses.
  • Use the automated tools to exploit the AI weaknesses.

Exam pass percentage

Students must score at least 80 points (80%) to earn the AI Security certification.

Certification DevSecOps Expert (CDE)

CDE exam is an online, task-oriented exam where you attempt to solve 5 challenges (tasks) in a span of 24 hours. The exam is based on the content covered in the course, but might require further research to pass the exam. Once the exam is done, you have 24 hours to submit the exam report​ on ​our portal.

The CDL exam is a practical, task-based online assessment where you attempt to solve five challenges (tasks) in a span of 6 hours. After the exam, you have 24 hours to submit the exam report to our portal.

Certified API Security Professional (CASP)

CASP exam is an online, task-oriented exam where you attempt to solve 5 challenges (tasks) in a span of 6 hours.
